Impact Resistant Self Flashing (high profile 5.25" curb) - Sheffield Makrolon® Polycarbonate Domes:
The ultimate in hurricane, wind, hail and impact resistance. Factory sealed and assembled for quick and easy installation. Provides installer with a fully assembled frame, curb and counter flashing for quick and easy installation directly to the roof deck. Designed for use on sloped roof applications where concrete, clay tile, metal, or other high profile roofing materials will be used as the finished roof material. The frame comes with pre-positioned fastener holes to insure proper attachment to the roof deck. An integral condensation gutter traps any moisture that may accumulate. Maxim uses a specialty sealant tape that bonds the glazing to the skylight frame virtually eliminating the possibility of water infiltration. Glazing options are available in polycarbonate domes and the same specialty sealant tape is also used to permanently bond the inner and outer domes together, thus preventing any moisture from accumulating between the domes - and we guarantee it! Dome colors are available in bronze, gray, white, and clear with the clear usually always used as the outer dome. This allows Maxim to offer a warranty direct from Sheffield Plastics for 15 years against yellowing or loss of light transmission due to defects in the polycarbonate. No other manufacturer does this, so no other manufacturer can offer this warranty - FACT. The top of the glazing is also sealed to the frame with Dow Corning 795 Structural Sealant. This is the same sealant used to install glass in high rise buildings! Frame finishes are available in mill, bronze anodized, clear anodized, and white powder coat. Unlimited powder coat colors are also available to match any metal roof project.

Impact Resistant Curb Mount - 1" Insulated Glass with DuPont™SentryGlas®Plus:
The ultimate in hurricane, wind, hail and impact resistance. Factory sealed and assembled for quick and easy installation. Allows installer to use a site built, pre-fabricated or any type of existing curb to meet your specific job application. Use on a pitched roof only with any type of shingle, tile, or slate application. The frame comes with pre-positioned fastener holes to insure proper attachment to the curb. An integral condensation gutter traps any moisture that may accumulate. Maxim uses a specialty sealant tape that bonds the glazing to the skylight frame virtually eliminating the possibility of water infiltration. Glazing options are available in insulated glass only with our standard Insulated Glass; Cardinal LoE366® with Argon Gas. The impact resistance is realized through the inner glass made with DuPont™SentryGlas®Plus. This laminated glass has been tested in our skylight to 200 psf negative & positive - a pressure that equals 280 mph winds! With a U=0.24, this is one of the highest performing Low E glass available. Many glass tints are available, but bronze and gray are standard. The top of the glazing is also sealed to the frame with Dow Corning 795 Structural Sealant. This is the same sealant used to install glass in high rise buildings! Frame finishes are available in mill, bronze anodized, clear anodized, and white powder coat. Unlimited powder coat colors are also available to match any metal roof project.
